Denso IK plugs and FI do not seem to mix well.

 

I had the same results. I now use NGK..

 

Which exact NGK and what gap. Guess I'll take a look at my plugs this week too. I have about 5,000 miles on some IK-24s.

I am running the NGK 7173 V-Copper racing plug and bought it from discount auto parts gapped to .034

 

My local auto parts store does not keep the NGK 7173 Sparks in stock - so I personally went and picked up about 5 sets of them all at once, I want to say they are no more than $8/set. Check them every 2k miles to make sure gap is still good - replace about every 6k miles.

 

What is the NGK equivalent of IK27?

 

The ngk's are in my car I dont remember the #'s but they are 7's for temperature. My gap is 26 and I paid $11.00 for each plug.

 

I don't know the answer to this question for certain, but if I am not mistaken it is the 7173. Don't quote me on that though.
