I was at my friend Zerin's mechanic's shop while they worked on his K04'ed S4. We were standing outside when a Mustang GT with Saleen side skirts / wing and other body pieces rolled by. Someone remarked, "Ha, nice fake Saleen". When we were leaving the shop, Zerin behind me, we just happened to come up behind this guy on the street. I rolled quickly up next to him braked to matched his speed...this is my new favorite way to call someone out. I notice he has pillar gauges...sweet. He revved. I revved, as I slid it into 2nd at 54 MPH. We both dropped, the guy immediately dissapeared from my passenger window. I shift to 3rd, I'm looking for his car in my passenger sideview mirror. There he is, as I see headlights fading away...he gives up and falls back...quickly.

We all get on the highway, I let Zerin get in front of me...I know Z wants to run because he just got his car's hesitation issue fixed (dirty fuel filter). Zerin glides up next to the Saleen...and they take off.

I get a call from Zerin's roomate, who was riding with him. "Must be a bad night night to be a Mustang.", he said. "Yep." He explains, "...and he definitely tried to run you...all kinds of black smoke came out of his exhaust...but he gave up quickly..." Zerin smoked him too. At highway speeds Zerin's car pulls harder than mine, he's got top-end power all over me...but under 80 I have the advantage. He's got some good mods coming up...but so do I.

 

That was a real Saleen S281..older body style though, SN95 I believe.

 

SN95 = Slower thaN 95% of the cars on the road... Even if it was the SC'd version you guys would have walked him bad...

When S4/TTr (KO4 S4) Driver raced scs2000 (SC'd) they were basically next to each other for a while then S4/TTr Driver finally started to pull away, that was a good race. S4/TTr Driver got a bit scared, hehe.

Right now I'm about 20-25 RWHP high than just bolting on the SC kit to a stock S2000.
