Neo 35 MP3 player
Before it's spiral into political oblivion there were two announcements on the H-A BBS about MP3 player installations. One using the Empeg unit, the other the Neo 35.
The Neo 35 install was a rear mount, with an LCD control panel in the section behind the drink holder/ashtray.
My question (finally you say), to whomever it was that did this install, is how thick/deep is the LCD remote? With a bit of butchering would it be possible to mount it on the inside of the fold-down stereo cover?
There seems to be quite a lot of space between the door and the Sony head unit, and you could cut away the plastic slot (whatever it is). Might have to replace the cable with a ribbon cabe so it would flex, but I think it would look excellent.

The answer to this came from Wesmaster, who has the Neo 35 installation featured above. the control unit is about an inch deep and so won't fit in the door flap.
i received my Neo 35 today and have opened the remotes case. There is a lot of air in there. I'll let you all know next week.
