Hi everyone,

I just got my car the other day and well the car is pulling to the left when I accelerate. When I release the gas the car stops going left and goes straight. I checked the tire pressure and it

I know you said that you checked it, but make sure you are at 32psi for the pressure on all 4 tires. I would also suggest having an alignment done on the car.

I have an appointment to get an alignment on Monday morning, I will recheck the tire pressure again. I really hope this is not normal behavior for this car. Thanks

From experience, there is a thread here someplace, you may have a bad tire. Likely in the rear. If you the alignment doesn't help, swap the rears (don't worry about the directional tires, this is only a test) and see if it pulls to the other side. If so, the side it is pulling to is probably a bad tire.

I'll try that after the alignment. Thanks for the advice. Please keep them coming so that when I take it to the dealership I can tell them what to look for as well.

This isn't normal behavior for the car. However, with our car, it is a normal symptom for "low tire pressure". I think you may have a slow leak in one of your rears. With a low profile tire, it's very hard to tell by eye if it's down a few psi. Please double check with a good quality air gauge.

Also, did you recently replace your right rear? What you're seeing is the result of the right-rear being larger than the left-rear. Kinda like rolling an ice-cream cone. It wants to go to the side. One tire being more worn, or having a higher air pressure, will do it.

Stagger. Good for oval track racing and nothing else.

I had exactly the same problem. I had a hard to find slow leak in a rear tire and just a few pounds of pressure loss was enough to cause the symptoms you describe. If there is no leak, the previouse owner may have replaced one tire and not the other resulting in different tire diameters. Check the tread depth.
