For reference, the OEM MY00-03 (AP1) wheel sizes and offsets are as follows:

Front:
16" x 6.5", +55 offset, 205/55 tire
Rear:
16" x 7.5", +65 offset, 225/50 tire

I am having the same problem. Tire pressures are fine and the alignment has been done. I am hoping it is different tire wear due to purchasing some used tires for the rear. The sizes are the same though.

From experience, there is a thread here someplace, you may have a bad tire. Likely in the rear. If you the alignment doesn't help, swap the rears (don't worry about the directional tires, this is only a test) and see if it pulls to the other side. If so, the side it is pulling to is probably a bad tire.
Interesting you say that. I'm having a similar problem. I bought 2 new Goodyear Eagle F1, GS-D3's from Tire Rack for the rear (have F1's on front as well). Shortly after the install, I noticed the car is pulling to the right under deceleration. I'm going to get an alignment this week and we'll see what happens.

But maybe it is a bad tire. I'll do the tire swap and see what happens if the alignment doesn't change things.

Another thing I thought was strange was the new Eagle F1's from Tire Rack are 92W, and the other pair of Eagle F1's (the pair on the front) is not stamped w this 92W designation. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Bad news, the dealership still has my car, and they replaced the tire and it's still pulling to the left when accelerating. The car has never been in an accident, so I wouldn't think there is frame damage. All the rims are in great shape, no dings curb rash or anything.

The car only pulls to the left when accelerating. When I let go of the accelerator it goes straight. This is bad because I compensate for the drifting and when I stop accelerating or while changing gears my car goes to the right. Its pretty hard to keep it in the lane when driving if I don

The dealership replaced one tire??? They fixed one problem but didn't address the fact that you have the wrong tire sizes!! You may be SOL on them replacing with the correct sizes since this is a used car and the previous owner probably turned it in that way.

Do you have Bridgestone S02 tires? If so you'll just need to change the fronts. Keep the "wrong" ones from up front as you'll eventuallu need them for the rears when they wear out.

Like "Spitfire" said, 205/55 in the front and 225/50 in the rear for the OEM S02 tire.

My issue was also with the F1s, from Tirerack (through a local shop). You will also note that the front tires were made in China and the rears in Germany (my set is this way). The local shop where I purchased the tires said the tires are great, assuming you get a set that is free of quality control problems. He said Goodyear has had numerous problems with the F1s. Even when the wheel and tire are put on the latest RoadForce balancer, the problem does not show up. It may not be noticeable on all cars too. But put it on a car like the S, where 1 pound of pressure is noticeable and you will really feel a problem.

Tirerack is aware of these problems, but do all your homework before asking for another tire: alignment, pressure, balanced, etc. On my car, the rear tir on the side that pulled, was bad.

Citius:
Note that the posted sizes for fronts and rears are for Bridgestone S-02 tires only and only for the tires made specifically for the S2000 (there is a Porche spec Bridgestone S-02 with the same numeric size but a different actual size). A different brand in the same numeric size will also be a different size in actuality. Also, you cannot mix a worn tire with a new tire on the same end of the car. Look in the Wheel and Tire forum and look at the stickied threads in that forum at the top.

I will talk to the dealership today. I checked the car as I left the dealership and it had 205/55 in the fronts and 225/50 in the right rear and 205/50 <---- wrong tire on the left rear. All but one tire was Bridgestone Potenza S02 (the original tires that came on the car). I orginally posted the wrong tire size in my previous post, I am sorry for that. All the tires are now all oem spec and type.

I'll make them change out the other rear and see if that is the problem. I really hope I am not SOL, which would suck.

When I test drove this car, I felt that there was a problem and I told them to write in my contract that they had to fix the problem no matter what. So I'll pray that they will own up to it.

The car is basically dangerous to drive at this point, especially while accelerating. Isn
