Citius:
Also, in addition to the fact that they are Bridgestone Potenza S-02's they must also be W speed rated. I believe that the rears are 92W and the fronts are 89W. Don't let them tell you that they got a Z rated tire and it is even better because the Z rated tires in these sizes are the Porche OEM spec and are a different size. Tire sizing gets wierd in these puppies.

BTW, this does not mean that you cannot run other brands or types of tires on this car, it just means that you have some do some learning to do so.

Good luck, man. You will also probably want a pair of rears if there is any appreciable amount of wear on the one correct rear tire. You may have to buy that one but maybe not.

These are the 16" Potenza S-02's that are made specificly for the S2000.
Note the "special" code in front of the size.
ES02JZ.

Also note that the European 16" wheels have the spoke all the way to the rim.
You can see that on the top picture, left hand side.

To clear things up, I typed in the wrong tire size a few posts back, the car had 3 correct size and style tires but one. That one was replaced with the correct size and style as well, but it still pulls. I think it is uneven wear on the tires, so tomorrow when I go to the dealership; I will make them order me all new tires if possible.

Thanks for taking the picture of the tire and the tire code SpitfireS. I will take this info with me tomorrow. I hope they can fix this problem; it would suck to have to get a lawyer and have to return the car.

It's been two days, and the dealer has not figured out what is wrong yet. This sucks. I miss my car

Quote from the Honda Service Manual.

"To optimize the Torsen Differentials, equip your vehicle with rear tiers of the same brand, the same size, and with even wear."

My 00 "pulled to the left" too, when I first got the car new. I tested and checked everything I knew to check, especially air pressure -- and of course the OEM tires were correct, but with heavy acceleration I always had the disorienting pull or push to the front left -- It actually turned out to be a push from the right rear-- instead of a pull. My right rear tire wore out much earlier than the left rear, and both wore our within 5,000-6,000 miles.

It all got fiixed when I had a real expert alignment guy set the alignment properly. Now the ccar runs straight --as an arrow -- ; and I get from 15,000 to 20,000 miles on the rear tires,; and they wear almost evenly. Maybe you could have a similar problem...have you had the alignment checked lately? Sometimes the dealer's alignment guy makes it worse instead of better, so it need s to be a tech who really knows alignment -- and something about the S.
