Default iPod for S2K

Hi all,

I just got my new S2K today and I am looking for a new head unit that I can connect my iPod to. Anyone have any suggestions for it? or the best way to connect a iPod?

Thank You

What is the difference between them? with the price being so different? Also, does that come with the ipod connection or does that price includes it?

Thank You

The 9856 doesn not include the cable. Neither does the 57, but some stores offer the cable for free with the purchase of the 57. The difference between the two is the display. The 57 has a much prettier biolite display, and can fit more text on it. Thats pretty much it.

the honda music link will work for your car since it's an '06. installation was super easy, took me no longer than 20 mins using no tools whatsoever. the music link attaches (via bus cable) directly to the cd changer port in the trunk. i just leave the ipod in the trunk, hidden away so no one even knows you have one. simple as that. the dash controls all work too.

all dealerships should have them in stock an i even got my dealership to match ebay store prices, so i say it's definitely worth it. have them print instructions for installing the trunk mounted cd player and just follow that to install the music link. simple and pain-free .

i got mine for around $150 plus another $10 for the Y bus cable. yes it also charges your ipod for you. the only real downside to the honda music link is it locks up the ipod so you lose the button controls on the ipod, but i keep the ipod in the trunk so it doesnt matter for me. it's easy to install and you have full control with the dash controls.
