Powder coating and Painting brake calipers
For about $6 and some work you can paint your calipers. Or for about $100 you can have them powder coated.
I'm wondering who's done this and what are your experiences. Good and bad it would be good to share the best formula for success.
I think I'd like red or yellow but could only find red and blah. Any feedback?
Engine paint (red) rated to 1200F: http://www.autobarn.net/duphigheaten2.html
BBQ Paint rated to 1200F: http://www.forrestpaint.com/stovebright/hi..._aerosols1.html
The colours were a little more exciting for the Engine paint. The BBQ paint was available only in muted colours.

I have done both, if you plan on tracking your car by all means get it powdercoated. The calipers still look good after 3-4 track days while the painted calipers lasted about 2 track days before they started to peel, blister and turn black from the excessive heat. I did the Hesel powdercoated calipers, it is more expensive but less trouble since you dont have to worry about taking all the seals and internals apart. They ship a ready to install caliper. All you need to do is mount the calipers and put pads in.
