Painting brake calipers
I painted mine with high-temp engine enamel. The highest temp they have at Pep Boys. It was like $5. I've used it on my last 2 cars with no problems whatsoever.

Bought my paint at Home Depot. Higher temperature than what I could find at Pep Boys.
Greg Stevens had posted quite a while back, that if you track your car, don't paint the calipers red. The high heat generated on the track toasted the red paint right off his!

Make sure you properly clean your calipers before painting them. kuni just painted wanabe's calipers a few weeks ago. PM him for the caliper paint he used. So far, I know he hasn't had problems with his red caliper paint coming off. He's tracked the car a few times and the calipers still look great. You should probably ask him for the directions too.

I used high temp engine enamel as well, mine are nice and glossy and have been that way for a few months now.
If you really want super glossy and durable, get on Rick's powdercoating list. That's what Brembo,Porsche, etc use.
