What do ya think??

9 more horses and 13 more lb-ft of Tq at there peak times!! For only 349.95. Sounds like a lot of bang for the buck!

Is it true that this is the same extension used in their supercharger kit? Is it real carbon fiber? Where does it draw air from???

Thanks,
Phi

Hey Darknight -- where'd you get the 'gain' figures you posted? I was looking through the Comptech site and I couldn't find a dyno plot for the CAI...

I ... need ... more ... m-o-n-e-y!!! TOO MANY TOYS!!! Where'd I leave that *man-whore* application laying around...

For those "in the know"...what's up with the 3K & 7K powerband HP drops? Is that typical of HP in general at those RPMs??? I'm not yet "dyno-savvy"...so that fact might answer much of my question, but I'd appreciate a fill-in by any members. Thanks in advance!

Very keen to hear more about this one. Anyone get some cold hard facts , let me know.

Wonder how it compares to the HKS system?

Update

I talked to Comptech yesterday and they won't have it ready till the middle of march. Looks like we have to keep on waiting. They did say that we should be able to preorder them in about 3 weeks.
I hope we can get it then, I can't wait much longer!!!!!!

Later

Looks good.

However, I am pretty skeptical. The Mugen unit (with all the R&D that went into it) is way, way, way more pricey and doesn't promise anything like those kinds of gains.

I'd love to see an independant and true Dyno chart done. In other words dyno the same car stock, then slap this bad boy on and re-dyno the car.

I know that Comptech is a long standing and reputable tuner firm with close ties to Honda/Acura but I've seen way too many products on this board with big power gains that do nothing other than lighten your wallet.

If the dyno results hold out, I'll be one of the first to send in my $.
