Default diff mount leaking?

Are the diff mounts liquid-filled? One of mine (driver's side, rear mount) is all wet on the rear face. And it looks like some fluid may have splattered on the trunk pan that faces it.

Damn. Looks like a reasonably big job to replace it.

They are liquid filled.

It's a common failure point, the mount has no serviceable seals. If it's leaking the mount has to be replaced to fix it.

It looks like maybe if you remove the rear swaybar you could get it out without having to pull the diff. Is that the case?

Can you do it without pulling the swaybar, even? It looks like there wouldn't be enough room for that.

At what price? Majestic Honda has them at $56 per.

I'll probably just pull both of them at the same time, as long as I'm in there. But if you don't need to take out the rear sway, maybe I'll just do the one.

The sway bar doesn't need to be removed, just take the brackets off and let the bar drop. The end links don't need to be removed.

Actually, if it's as easy as Slows says it is, I'm gonna see if the local Honda place has one in stock. If so, I could swap it out before I take it to the track next weekend. I'll let you know if I can't find it locally.

Hopefully they are on the new Honda ordering system. That will get it to you next day.
