Review of Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.2X
Hi Everybody,
I bought a Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.2X for my 2007 factory stereo. I bought it from a local stereo shop for $70. It is supposed to let you keep the factory XM and run an aux device via the RCA inputs. They also have a version that comes with an Ipod connector which charges you Ipod. I chose the RCA version because I have older generation Ipod, a new Creative Vision:M, and a PSP. The install guide tells you to install the box behind the radio. I did mine in the trunk instead.
The install consisted of:
1. Pulling the spare tire out.
2. Plugging into the factory harness were the xm connection exist.
3. Drilling a small hole in the secret compartment from the trunk.
4. Running an RCA to mini connector into the secret compartment and installing a rubber grommet
5. Zip tie all the cables and the blitz box.
6. Putting the spare tire back in.
Thats it!
The blitzsafe box comes up as CDC (cd changer) on the stereos display and has a slight 3 second pause when switching between FM or the in dash CD. The blitz box is noise free (tested with nothing plugged in and volume cranked to 40). I don't have the XM option, but I'm sure it works just as well. This is a great alternative to Honda Music Link or if your short on cash and want a quick cheap "aux in" our your factory stereo.
Enjoy,

I just ordered the iPod version of this and will post back with a review once it is installed. The dash controls will still work, as the factory headunit is just treating the aux input as a cd-changer.
