Got a lot of cool stuff on order and it's sooooo close. But like every project I've ever seen, dates are slipping That and the Senator's delayed autocross season is going to backload the summer...

Sneak preview:
- more power
- weight reduction
- suspension upgrades

This is Steve, I know what it is but it's no super charger

weight reduction could be a few things.... brakes, a/c removal or just the cruise control which will save you ... 10ounces? haha

suspension .... no idea unless you mean the sway bar.


I've added weight to the car, about 23lbs out the back Good thing I changed the exhaust last year to counter it!

FYI: the bumper like the "big heavy metal piece under the cover" only weights like 10lbs, maybe 15lbs MAX I think the bulk head behind the rollbars weights more.

No supercharger, and the minor weight reduction is more than the cruise control thing (which I haven't done yet). Looking at getting a 9.5 lb/hp weight to power ratio vs. the stock 11.5 lb/hp @ 1/2 tank of gas. The suspension is more than the front swaybar change too....

So sad when the insecurities start coming out. First thing the scared say is, "but we have the intangibles" or "it's all about heart". ALL CRAP. Everyone knows it's all about the car.

Pope got more POWWA and so did Toshi, wholly crap their cars are fast, I was .5 off their time though, I don't need more POWA right now just less brakes, damn you good braking damn you!

Well here is the list:

- Hytech cams, valve springs, titanium retainers
- Hytech header matched to cams
- Hondata K-pro engine mangement
- Swift fixed front swaybar
- J's rear roll center adjuster
- Voltphreaks 3lb battery

There are still some more tweaks, but that'll be for next year. I'd actually be interested in doing a side by side comparo with a stock car to see what difference all the mods made.

I wouldn't call it a monster, but it should be a big improvement for road course stuff. From Hytech's prototype car they got +60 peak WHP with the cams, ITB's, header, exhaust and AEM ECU on a 2.2L. I have to derate that since I still have a cat, probably a smaller exhaust pipe and a 2.0L. Guessing around +40 peak WHP, but with really good mid-range. Even though it's going to be a lot less top end than a supercharged car, it will be close on a track because of the midrange pull out of the corners.

The roll center adjusters should reduce the amount of negative camber needed for the race tires, so the existing settings should have better for grip.

The battery was just an experiment. 3lb's is crazy, which is around a 20lb weight reduction. Which is probably one of the best bang per buck weight mod as far as replacing parts.

So the full list of mods is:
Drivetrain: Hondata K-pro, Hytech cams, Hytech header, J's Intake, J's 60RS titanium exhaust
Suspension: KW3 coilovers, GoFast anti-bumpsteer kit, Swift front swaybar, J's roll center adjuster
Wheel/Tire: 17" Volk CE28N, 235/255 Toyo RA1, 225/255 Falken RT-615
Other: custom rollbar, cruise control delete

Target Specs:
240 hp -> 280+ hp
2770 lbs @ 1/2 tank gas -> 2655 lbs
0.9 g skidpad -> 1.2 g
