cd, thanks for taking the time to lay out that info.

When the F1 world played with FI, they went the turbocharger way. The sanctioning bodies put a stop to that when crews were attaining 1000 hp per litre!

Nice page...needs more data in the SC areas. It will be nice to have the Vortec added when we know more.

Yeah, it'll be nice to add the Vortech/MG Racing info to it once their kits are released.

Since everyone has been asking me (cough) here are my predictions for the MG S/C and Vortech S/C ..

I believe the Vortech S/C will ahve a VERY similar power curve that the Comptech unit has, but with a higher peak HP. I also believe the Vortech blower will be more efficient and allow for better boost upgrades with built engines. I believe Vortech will reach 300 hp on the stock internals at 6 psi.

A roots type blower (MG -- if they every finish it) will have instant boost, and alot of torque, however peak power will likely be less than that of the Comptech S/C, perhaps 270? This will make the S2000 feel like a V8 ..

From the link: "...This partially stems from me getting the same PM every day:

HOW DO U LIKE UR TURBO? WHAT PROBZ DO U HAVE WITH IT?!"

I about fell off my chair laughing. I can only imagine what you put up with.

Good writeup, thanks.

Good start. One points: Make it clear that you're referring to rear wheel horsepower, not crankshaft horsepower.

Through in a couple dyno plots, I'm pretty sure they are floating around on here...
