IPOD Connection
Haven't opened it yet. It's coming from the North Pole.
. We have a portable XM unit that we used to use on the now-defunct BMW. We had to tune into a weak station and it would broadcast that way. Of course, as you travel between states, the stations change and you're always searching for the next great "weak station". I was hoping there was more of a direct plug-in.

Of course, with the IPOD, who needs a changer? I'll take yours off of your hands, Carmen!

P.S. - I have one of those for our Accord. Works great!

IIRC, OR has the CD Changer (won in one of the first - if not THE first - Ohio Rt. 26 runs) installed, so using that link would mean unplugging the CD changer.

I have an AP1. So I use a Monster iPod transmitter that has about ten FM channels to broadcast in the lower spectrum of the FM band. It works great in rural areas but not so well in NYC where all the FM frequencies are used.
If one has an AP2 there is a company that makes an interface that plugs into the head unit like the OEM CD changer does that emulates the CD changer and shows your iPod's play list on it's display just as if it was a CD.
