Default Help identifying and choosing a new bumper

I have had my silverstone 2001 s2000 for about 3 months, i received it pretty rough around the edges & am intending to fix it.

As it stands it has key marks down both sides of the car fairly deep, and fairly large tears in the top & a bum / torn rear plastic window.

Not to fear, i have a friend who will paint the car any color i want, if i pay for paint.
The new top will run about 1,600.00 (installed, this is the best price i have found so far, or maybe i'll just try to enlist a few people and do it ourselves.)
By spring the car will look great.

I do need help identifying this bumper, and choosing between it, and the "Spoon" bumper.

Witch is better quality/fitment?
Witch is readily available?
In your opinion witch looks better?

***If you have any recommendations on a front bumper please let me know!

Thanks in advance / feel free to correct me, i am a newb to the S

-Ben

Go spoon in this case. I'm not a huge fan of the spoon bumper but its better looking than the other one imo. And I hope that $1600 for a new top is a hardtop

I got mine for $519 shipped to my door. Then some of the locals helped me install it. I'm sure you could find someone to help install it for a couple hundred bucks or so.

i hate the spoon front end imo looks extremely nice with the fogs and everything but the sides of the bumper look hideous...go with the idea of picking up the soft top with glass for about 500+ bucks im sure some locals will help you out and save that 1600 for a hardtop or some other parts. i did and install of the soft top before and it was not extremely bad.

i like the amuse front end alot or even going with a stock front end and lip looks great good luck can't wait to see her finished!!

i say Spoon in this case. it radically transforms the car. both Spoon and Varis are top-notch quality and fitment, but have you seen the Varis from more angles than the one you posted? it looks like an angry person in a slipknot mask. both are going to be made-to-order items from Japan but i think the Varis will be harder to get.

Since you have an AP1 you can also get the J's half spoiler and mold it to your current bumper. Someone on this board has done it, but i can't find the pictures.

You should go with an aftermarket top. They go for around $5-600. And if you trust your friend enough to paint your car, he should be able to remove/reinstall your top.
