Post 2008 CR shift knob

Any people thinking about getting the 2008 CR knob with yellow stitching over their OEM shift knob? im thinking about getting that in replacement of my oem, anyone know the weight on the knob and how low it sits compare to OEM?
or anyone have pic of it install in their S already.

the price for the shift knob is around 48 dollars on handa-accessories.com btw

cant be that heavy being aluminum....better off getting a different one imo

60 mm from bottom of nut to top of knob
29 mm depth of screw hole

4.9 oz in weight

Ill probably get it - I like it! The only downside is I can't get the matching door and center trim as our center consols are different than the 06+.

I've tried a aluminum shift knob, which is lighter than the OEM, and I didn't like it. The shifts become notchy with lighter knob. Honda might have redesigned the tranny on the CR to work with lighter knob, but AP2's do not work well with light shift knobs. That's my experience.

does the Civic type R in japan have the similar knob but stitching is in red instead of yellow.

Agreed. I got suckered into buying a muz shift knob that claimed to be heavier than OEM. Total BS. You didn't even have to weigh the difference, you could've just held one in each hand and tell. Heavier is better with AP2
