Folks,

Listen up. I have a friend who bought one of the very first S2000s in Michigan... ordered at the Detroit Auto Show when they first came out. He is not active at this site; however, he personally contacted American Honda within the past month. The person he spoke with indicated that Honda is CONSIDERING spliting the costs with owners of plastic window cars IF there is enough PUSH-BACK from owners who feel they came up short.

It sounded encouraging to me. My first thought is to organize something through this site along with the support... maybe inside contacts of S2kCA... to see what MIGHT be possible. Keep in mind they didn't promise anything but they might be willing to share the load.

Ideas?

Although I have a glass window already, on my original S2000 I did not so I am really doing this right now for the folks who have a rear plastic window. Best wishes with Honda! And who says they don't care about us?

... and also on the 2001 models!

I've been interested even before the 02's came out!

Here is an idea: We should call our customer service areas starting on a certain date. Basically call the CS rep and tell them that we would like to get the rear window replaced with a glass one. I had to call when I first got MY2000 to get the dash replaced. This way if many members call the results would be a lot better. ( each state has a CS # to call and it is in the owners manual)

dang, now I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between year models. J/K

Yeah, the glass is way better hope you guys can swing it. Perhaps they can even split the cost for a hardtop, that would be word!
