Ohio Route 26 Event 2009 Edition
The Annual Trip to Route 26
Date: June 6th
Deadline to sign up: May 18th
The details:
Groups:
The Northern Ohio people will meet at Belden Village Mall in Canton at 9:00AM and will depart no later than 9:30AM. We will proceed south on I-77 to the Dover/New Philadelphia area. From there we will take 250 southeast. We'll have a quick jog east on 36, then head south on 800. This will take us past Clendening Lake and Piedmont Lake. We will follow 800 to 22. We will take 22 west to the Salt Fork State Park area and proceed to the lodge. At this point we can empty bladders, meet up with the Columbus folks and take photos in front of the lodge and by the lake.
The Central and Southern Ohio people will meet at the JC Penny Catalog Outlet Store, 2361 Park Crescent Dr Dk 901,Columbus, OH 43232 at 9:00AM and will depart no later than 9:30AM. You will proceed east on I-70 to Cambridge and head north for 2 exits on I-77. You will exit at route 22 and head east. Follow the signs to the Salt Fork State Park and proceed to the lodge.
It should take approximately 1 hour to get to Salt Fork State Park. The address is:
Salt Fork State Park
Us-22, Lore City, OH 43755
We will break here for lunch and photos. Thanks David (Scooterboy) for arranging this.
After lunch we will proceed back east on 22 and pick up 800 south. We will follow 800 south to I-70 east for one exit. We will pick up 40 east to Morristown for a short bit and hit 26 south from there. Route 26 will take us into downtown Woodsfield. We can stop for a break there and then continue south on route 26 to Marietta. By following this route, we will enjoy a larger portion of Route 26 than we have in the past. (return trip edit: I-77 north to exit for Route 821. 7.5 miles to 145. Right on Route 78 at 31.5 miles).
For those staying at the Hampton, we will check in upon arrival in Marietta. Wash up (wash car for those who insist), and shoot over to Marietta Brewing Company.
The lodging will be at the Hampton Inn Marietta, Ohio. Thank you Gary (MrClean) for organizing this. Here is the link to the information --> Here
The group dinner will be held at Marietta Brewing Company at 7pm. I have reserved the back banquet area for us so we will have an area all to ourselves. Special thanks to Chris at Marietta Brewing Company for arranging this for us again.
Date: June 6th
Please indicate if you would like to be in the enthusiast group or the spirited group. Also, please indicate if you will have a +1 so I can give the folks at the brew company ample time to prepare for us.
Deadline to sign up will be May 18th
This will ensure we have ample amount of time for setup and organizing the groups.

Also:
I know that we have received a few questions in regards to if this is exclusive to S2000s only. The answer is no. This event is about enjoying a fun road and enjoying being around a great group of people. Having said that, we will require that all individuals that attend be current S2ki members (not necessarily S2000 owners). Therefore, if you know someone that is interested in joining this drive make sure they register (at least as a guest) in this community and post their interest in this thread. This measure ensures that event organizers have an accurate count of those planning to attend and let's all registered participants get event updates and details, including grouping of cars and the event rules.
The Ohio Community recognizes this event is more than a drive it's a community-building experience. We want this driving event to be a fun and successful for all those involved. If you have any questions, please pm me and we can discuss offline.

Mocky....add Sharon & myself to the list...We will be attending.
Also...the Cincy group will be heading up to Columbus, on Friday eve...as in the past. We will have dinner, once again @ the 94th Aero Squadron, located at the Columbus International Airport. More details to come, but by staying on Friday evening, in Columbus, we are right next door to the JC Penny Outlets.....Most probably stay @ the same hotel as last year..... "Hampton"...also.
I will once again post a link, for the Cincy sign-up, later on...

Sign me up for +1, I would like to be in the "spirited group"! Since we are heading down from Toledo, we will likely just stay in Columbus Friday night and head out from there.
