Default My door locks are acting funny

I know the doors relock themselves if you use the fob to unlock them & you don't open a door within 30 seconds or so, but mine keep locking themselves at random times all by themselves.

I don't carry the keys so I'm not accidentally hitting the fob in my pocket, but many days I go out to the garage and all the doors are locked. I can use the fob to unlock the doors but even if I have the doors open they still relock themselves.

Coincidentally (?) my dome light doesn't work. The door switches appear to work, at least they go in and out and make a slight clicking sound.

Any thoughts?

Your door sensor in the jamb is stuck closed. It's the plunger covered by the small black rubber boot. Even though your door is physically open, the car thinks the car door is still closed. Hence the relocking and "lack of the dome light."

People have tried pushing it in and out a few times, removing and cleaning, and replacing it.

Hmm, interesting - I have a similar issue...but my door lock issue seems to be from inside the drivers door. If I slam it shut or brake hard, my doors seem to lock...I will see if what you mentioned is an issue for me...Thanks!

That's what I thought initially, but as I said in the first post I've worked them and the seem to be working. They click when you push on them. Neither one sticks way out of the jamb tho. Are they supposed to stick 1/2" or more out of the jamb? Both of mine are almost flush.

Also that wouldn't explain why my doors lock by themselves in the middle of the night. I can go all day getting in and out of the car without them locking by themselves and then randomly they'll start this locking nonsense.

Try doing this - slam your drivers door shut and see if it locks. I can get mine to do that. Also, brake hard and see if it does. Both our cars may be plagued with the same issue, perhaps?
