Default F20C2

I had a look in the engine bay and my car has the code F20C2. I have a late MY2000 s2000.

Does anyone know the differences, arent some S2000's F20C1?

I had a quick search and TBH there seems to be a bit off BS flying around about the F20C2 being better lower down, stronger retainers etc.

It's been talked about many times.

The number after the F20C denotes the area it was sold in. So the JDM (and I think Oz too) ones are not OBD2 compliant and the US/EU had a diff spec engine.

Seems the pistons, VTEC oil pressure sensor and head gasket were different.

I couldn't Find a 2nd knock sensor when I went from JDM to EU.
