Look for a model year '02 or an '03. They have a glass rear window instead of a plastic one, and some of the issues with the early model engines/transmissions are better protected against.

There are certainly a fair amount of S2000s for sale on Craigslist. Look all over the bay area and be prepared to drive for a bit if you find one worth picking up. There should be better options out there than one with 115k already on the clock.

yea for that price you can certaintly find an 03 at least an 02 with similar or less miles. Be patient, you wont regret it

 

shop around more
