Tranny Noises
I have only about 1200 miles on my '00 S2K, and the trans is making noises throughout. Does anybody notice a rattle/buzzing sensation when you let off the gas at about 35-4000 rpm's, in second or third gears? It seems to keep getting worse.
Second problem is, that second gear in the low rpm range seems to have a lot of gear lash noise until it is past about 5k or so.
My dealer has already agreed to replace the first and second gear assemblies per the most current service bulletin from Honda, but I am not sure what this will solve. And for people that have gotten the clutch replacement, what symptoms prompted this?
Any advice can get here will be appreciated.
Thanks Todd,

These transmission noises are normal. This is a very mechanically noisy car.
What dealer did you buy your car from?
Did I see you on eastbound Miramar road last week about 7:30 PM, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday? The car I saw was a brand new silver/? (couldn't tell, the top was up, what's with that?). It still had a dealer plate on it from Rock Honda in Fontana.

My tranny has become noisy when I let off the gas from 3-5k also. The clutch FEELS fine, functions normally, but when I start the car in the morning it is quieter when I depress the clutch than when it's out. Is this normal or should I be concerned that the clutch is starting to go??? Never have problems shifting and no 1-2 grind, 8700 miles on the car.
