when shifting from 1st to 2nd i hear this high pitched whine. 2 other s2k owners who have driven my car said its the throw out bearing which probably wasnt changed out when i had the clutch replaced. does anyone know what im talking about?

the tech guy said its a normal noise...is it? if it so happens to be the throw out bearing then whats wrong with it? Could it be doing this even if it was changed out? What are the long term effects of this on the car?

actually its more like when accelerating in gears 1-3
