Just wanted to Formally SAy "HI"
Hi, the name's Luis, and i drive an S2k. (sounds like an AA line, heh.) Its bone stock, but that will change soon enough. I work at ARMC in Colton, and receive a decent wage which i plan to use to fund for a few upgrades. I am a moderate-advance mechanic, which means i can rip apart things and generaly put them back together correctly. My father used to be a mechanic in my county, and my neighbor was a mechanic for a long time(or so he says) so i do have a good resource for tools, and for the random; how to question. My old vehicles include; which i dont own anymore;
nissan 240sx: MODS ka24e-t motor(note SOHC model) t3/t4 turbo, with suspension mods, mainly a drift car.
Chevy S10 - Bagged on DUbs!, crazy system. no need to say more
Mitsu Eclipse GST - 16g turbo, tokico suspension, VAFCII, 190lph Fuel, etc...
Proud to say, i did most of the work myself on all of my cars
I am happy to have been a member for all vehicles forums, and a active member for the tech days/drink days. I believe its a great way to learn, especialy off other peoples mistakes. So my first line of questions that i have for the local chapter are...
What are the first/basic upgrades?
Wheres the place to shop for parts?
And what do you guys drink? Becuase if I'm the one learning, the least i could do is buy you a drink.
And.... the contact info;

Well I love New Castle and Guinness!
Out of all the upgrades i have id have to say i like the coil overs the most. Followed shortly by my single exhaust.
Many people probably think different things so i guess you can get the average of us all.

Edit: BTW welcome to a great car and club.

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you like the way your car runs and handles then I'd say beef up the stereo! If you're going to put 50k - 100k miles on it then ya might as well step up and get some tunes.

welcome, and a good single malt scotch will do just fine. .
I think you'll find that the car is very enjoyable in its stock form. Just give it some time and see where you feel an improvement is necessary. Of course you can always make everything better...handling, acceleration, top speed....Most people will start with basic appearance mods to add to the uniqueness of the car. Take it slow, so you don't get bored with mods too quickly. You can never go wrong with tunes and females that have a job. LOL.
sounds like you're handy with the car, so we'll look forward to you being handy for for us in the future.
congrats on the car and enjoy. Welcome to the best forum on the net.
