New project

So I just bought my second ever 2000 ap1 recently. $4500. It has low compression in cyl 1 and rough around the edges. I have the head pulled and being resurfaced. I found a fab shop to make me a custom race body to fit the widest tires I can fit. Wish me luck!

 

Have fun! Hopefully you can get it where you want it since it was such a small initial investment.

 

Check carefully about how much they are taking off the head! I believe the spec is VERY tight on how little can be milled off before you have timing related issues. @Billman250 has better info than I do on this.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Its a reputable shop. The motor is back and running like a champ. Next on the list is a turbo charger and some giant wheels. I already picked up a full suspension replacement and looking into big brake kits. Budget for build is around 30k atm.
