Back when I was 16, I saw a picture of a Silverstone ap1 and I fell in love. When I was 17, I had enough money to finally buy one but my parents didn't want me to get anything with more than 60k miles and older than 5 years. (in 2013) Needless to say, I couldn't afford an 08 S2000 with less than 60k miles and a clean title. So I "settled" for an 07 Cooper S and started working as a maintenance tech at a Ford dealership. I've been saving my pennies for no reason as far as I knew but I ended up finding a pretty decent deal on Craigslist last week for a 2000 Silvertone s2k with a red/black leather interior... bone stock (other than Invidia Q300), no accidents, pretty clean. I called the owner and bought it in cash so here I am. It has 113k miles and after looking it up and down, it literally needed nothing. The brakes were a little squeaky so I turned the front rotors and then went through and made sure it was mechanically in showroom condition. That resulted in a brake flush, clutch fluid flush, engine air filter, throttle body clean, lof with zMax, and fuel system clean. It's by FAR the most fun car I've ever driven.
