alright, ten months later it's time for an update! put about 10,000 miles on the car and at least 6 track days since my last post. kept up on maintenance and added a bunch of little mods. car is running like a champ, couldn't be happier. track days have been awesome, car is challenging and fun to drive. top down cruises on twisty roads up and down the coast have been brilliant.

switched the interior from blue camo to plaid. spun off the track one time at thunderhill and the car was just filled with dirt! took me days to clean it out and the camo did not look good in the end. also did the driver's side visor and covers for the seatbelt retractors and bulkhead brace behind the seats that are left exposed after the roll bar install. also inside: black floor mats, TWM A6 leopard shift knob, fixed driver's seat bolster(still looks a little smashed but waaay better than before), bump stops for the soft top so it doesn't rattle agains the roll bar when it's down.

and here she is in dirty, dirty track mode. one day after laguna seca and sitting in the rain:

basic changes for track day are the sparco NT-R wheels with hankook RS-3, carbotech XP8 pads, and CF spoon GT wing replica by VIS. i have it mounted to a BB trunk so i can swap it out for DD. still on the hunt for a front splitter but my driveway limits what i can use. i suppose i could raise the car up a bit but that's blasphemy!

and in pretty clean DD mode:

stock pads, rota grid wheels with nitto NT-05, stock trunk, and top down...!

Nice car...my brother and my buddy met you this past week at Laguna Seca. My brother has a 2003 Mustang Mach One and buddy has 06 Z06. They took pics of your interior to show me as I was doing the roll bar at that time. I'll be going to my first track event soon...can't wait.

Here is my finished product....took forever to cut those pieces!!!

I do have the harness bar and bulkhead bar...just in case, but in all reality I probably should have used the stock bulkhead because I doubt I will ever run a harness. Not sure when my first event will be. Hopefully soon. I purchased some Hankook RS3 for another stock set of AP1 rims so I am ready to go and very excited. My brother keeps telling me how much fun it is.

^ yes, most people are hooked right away! RS3s are good tires but sounds like they might be on the small side for AP1 wheels...?

and here are pictures of the blue valve cover. also got an aluminum oil cap to replace the OEM cap. not a lot of other plans for the engine bay aside from hood props, air pump delete, and a nicer looking coolant res.

just installed this bad boy! J's 60mm titanium single. weighs only 9lbs. no pictures of it on the car yet but i'll work on that. running it with the stock cat for the moment.

also installed the izze engineering air pump simulator and then removed all the associated parts. shaved 8-9 pounds and cleaned up the engine bay even more.

with these two weight reductions i've shaved my first 100lbs off the hot rod. super fast now....
