got it back tonite. they replaced the throttle housing (assembly?). seems to drive fine and i must say las vegas honda dealership bent over backwards and provided great service in a difficult situation. hopefully this was an isolated problem, both for me, and all of the other 06 owners.

how did i ever make it thru my 2002 s2k break-in period? i so want to stand on it.

jon
What dealership did you go to? You said Las Vegas honda dealership, there are only desert honda, honda west, and shack findlay honda here.

honda west. they had the same laguna blue 06 on thier lot but added a couple silly options and a 'dealer adjustment' to the base and wanted 39,700 for it. i got mine shipped from colorado for 32,900. i'm sure i could have done better but the dealer was a friend of mine.

it's nice knowing that i've got a good local dealership for service.

Ooh. I get mine serviced at Shack Findlay. I think I'm beginning to annoy my service advisor because I always go in there with "is this noise normal" questions, haha. And I heard that everytime a dealership grants a warranty claim, they get some sort of "mark" next to their name in the Big Honda Dealership Book. So I guess they have a lot of black marks because of me .

dang. i wish you wouldn't have shared that :-)

i had a two month old butt ugly prius hybrid that i wanted out of my life. my friend picked it up and gave me dealer invoice and took it away. i went for simplicity and gave up a few grand that i coulda saved if i was willin to work a little harder and wait a bit longer.

^ don't worry, jss... You did just fine at 32K. That said, 39.7K is ludicrous.

Oh no! I was not talking about your ride!

I was talking about the 39k one in Vegas. Invoice is still awesome. I would never pay more than retail though.

Yeah Honda West tried to charge me $27k BEFORE taxes for an '02 Spa Yellow with like 16k on the odometer last July. I don't know what they are smoking over there but keep it away from me.
