Default 1st day of ownership!

Picked up my new baby today...'06 yellow "eye candy" for sure
S2000.

I love the looks...ride..engine...color..and attitude of this car!
Really like the spoiler instead of wing..and really like the OEM
front air-dam.

Two issues though.....the dead-foot rest irritates my left multi-
surgery knee...and what was unsettling was being informed
by the finance mgr.......(dayum..extremely hot!) that I will need
to purchase the Lojack sensor and also the replacement insurance when/
if my S get's stolen!

Does anyone know...can I remove dead-foot rest..don't think it's like the
R32 I once owned that had electronics behind it.
And is the 2000 really the most stolen honda like I was informed?

Geez...would've thought twice about the purchase if I'd known that.
thanks!

Im pretty sure the Civic is stolen WAY more often, but don't hold me to it.

As for the cars from what I read your biggest concern is having your seats stolen. Apparently they are valued by the dealer at some odd $7k

Someone sells seat-locks. Invest, I plan to!

Congrats!

I recall reading somewhere that Integras were the most stolen... But then again they're marketed as Acura in North America so not sure if that qualifies it as being a Honda.

You could change insurance companies.

Info should be online somewhere. IIRC the S recently made the top 10 list. I'd say odds are you're more likely to lose just the seats and end up with a slashed top so get some seat locks.

Huh? Looks like the insurance was for the LoJack -- not the car.

Accord and Civic are the most stolen Hondas, larger need for used parts...usually lower quality theft deterrent systems (if any).

Thieves just love our seats, not the cars so much. Invest in the seat locks, more importantly...advertise you have seat locks. It would suck to have a slashed top...

Not sure about the foot rest, someone else will chime in on that...

Good Luck!
