2000 Silverstone Metallic
I'm looking to purchase a 2000 Silverstone Metallic S2000 with 39,000 miles on it. I can probably get it out the door at $15,700 but I haven't seen it yet. I'm going on Friday to take a look at it with my mechanic (I can back out anytime, if it's not worth my time).
I was wondering what I should look for when inspecting the car so I don't end up with a "good deal" that ends up having problems later. Carfax passes with flying colors. I know it's a Honda and I shouldn't expect it to be a lemon, but what are some common problems the MY00s have besides the plastic rear window? Thanks in advance for your help.

Definitely make sure the top has no tears or rips in it. Also, like any used car, make sure the headlights and tail lights line up with the bumpers correctly. Just because carfax is okay doesn't mean it never had any work done to it. It just could mean that it wasn't reported.
Also, see if you can find a MY02 or newer in your price range...believe me there's a big difference between the two and it's worth the extra money. Aside from the glass rear window and other upgrades, they drive very different.
Good luck
