Default 2006 s2k

I just purchased my 2006 about two weeks ago. This car does really well at speed or shall I say, on the boil, but, at sensible speeds around town or slow speeds I feel its kind of sluggish or balky. This car has only 20.000 miles on it and has been serviced as for the 30,000 mi. service. There are currently no code issues. Does anyone have any words of wisdom other than just drive fast? I won't be sad if you say that it could be just me.

Mabye your in too high of a gear when your going slow. For example in 5th gear going 30 mph.

What rpm are you driving around at? This car does not have much torque at all so anything under 4 grand will feel pretty damn slow imo. Obviously good power is only over 6k.

VTEC engines take a little getting used to. It's kind of annoying to have to keep the RPM's up all the time. If you don't like doing that you can re-gear your diff.

I don't know what you were driving b4 the S but maybe you're used to bigger engines with more torque. It's much more crucial to be in the right gear in the S compared to the 6 or 8 cylinder cars.

As posted above, what gear and what speed are you usually in to experience this feeling?

Thanks for the feedback. In the past I have owned corvettes. My s2k is in many ways superior in handeling and comfort. Now I drive it like a motorcycle and I am happier. If I could get more throttle response I would be thrilled.
