Is the 2007 S2000 REALLY worth 29 grand?
Oh keep this in mind....
When you test drive the 07 (06 as well) You not feeling 100% of the car's engine. The DBW system has to learn how the car works. I test drove an 07 a few months ago and I was actually disappointed in the "apparent" lack of accel when compared to a broken in 05. I drove a used 06 and it was a different story. After you drive it around 1k-2k miles you are going to notice a huge change in performance!!!!
$29k is a great price for a car you will never forget.

if your just looking to get a toy, then get a bike man. my 2007 r6 can spank ANY car through the twisties and can accelerate faster than pretty much any car on the road. It also gets looks from EVERYBODY that sees it. and it costs about a third of what an s costs
Ive given quite a few bikes a run for their money in the twisities with my hatch. not many bikers have the balls to push it that far on the street. granted they just pass me on the straights but i can out brake and turn them. now i have a more peppy s2k, i want to see what happens now
the reason theyre not pushing hard is probly cause they were scared of u. not scared of losing but scared u might hit them. cars are quite scary when youre on a bike, especially cars that wanna race you. either that or they suck. what im trying to say is that with a bike you can get the performance of a 50k plus car for about 10k. and if all your looking for is a weekend toy then a bike has the most bang for the buck. Just my 0.02
Just drove off the lot last night with a 07 Laguna. $29K
It's my 2nd S2k and I never even considered another "weekend" car. I'm not sure I've ever driven another vehicle that felt so much like a wound-up spring...it just begs to be rev'd. To each his/her own but Evo's/STis are really hideous looking cars. Not sure why everybody compares these cars to the S.
Don't worry, it is definitely worth $29K.

yeah the 07 is worth it. you could pick up an ap1, but youd have some other attributes to deal with..
engine too small, cant lug around at low RPM
1st gear too long so youll lose most dig races,
ceramic cylinders so its likely youll be burning tons of oil like most ap1 owners,
rear suspension too stiff, so your likely to spin out and die like the numerous ap1 owners have,
rear diff that cant hang, because of suspension to stiff.
need i go on... just truths. sorry to those who may be offended. yes either way, s2000 is the best car period.

The only thing really comparable right now is the solstice and/or sky and I would not be caught dead in any Saturn or Pontiac no matter what the price.
