Yes, same set-up i have, we made changes, the new package comes with AEM EMS, 300zx non-turbo rearend, inline-pro 1000hp axles, and 3.5 to 4inch exaust. i have a question, well actually a few....
id consoder doing the 2jz swap..but what about emissions testing? here in NC all we have to do is the plug in obd-2 system check..luckily we dont have a sniffer test..
will the 2jz swap pass the obd-2 plug in test?
also,
how much for a sr20 swap with big turbo?

It takes a lot more than raw horsepower to run 8s. The suspension would have to be set up for drag and you'd face the major challenge of getting the car to hook.
