Cool 350z to s2000

Hey guys, Well i am a honda and a nissan owner, I have or i guess you can say had a 350whp civic.. i just swapped the motor and it needs new intake piping and a tune to be boosting again..

I've also owned a 350z for two full years that i love very much.. It treated me so well.. but temptation caught me when i offered a trade for a 94 rx7 FD3S with close to 400whp.. So i traded my Z.. it was fun for the 4 months that it lasted..

But now im selling it and just looking to get something nice and reliable.. I don't think i'll have enough money to get another 350z.. So i've been looking at s2000s

I've driven my friends before and loved it.. If the Z had a cousin the s2k would be her.. Their differences is what makes them unique but at the same time they are the same 2 seat, sports car animal..

Anyway Im going to be looking for one in these coming months and i am looking for inspiration, advice, anything else that will be useful on my purchase of an s2k..

Im looking for the perfect wheels and a sick drop .. go cart status .. anyways glad to have joined the site.

I guess the 350Z is the S2000's fatter, uglier cousin.

Welcome Bones...sorry about the previous poster's comment.

When buying used, always go for the newest, lowest mileage car you can afford.

Do you have any modding plans for the car or do you plan to stay stock? Just daily driver or the occasional track day or autox?

yeah...i kind of read that as back-handed compliments on the S also.

Zs and S's go for relatively the same price....may have to go up or down a year or so, but they aren't that far away from each other.

if you feel like you have to "settle" for an s2000, maybe it's not your car. seriously, if you don't think this car is everything you want...look somewhere else. because unless you are in love with the car, getting in and out of a tight roadster, lack of tq, lack of luxuries and bells and whistles, lack of sound proofing, etc. will get old.

those of us that have the car, don't mind these and see the car for what it is...the best damn driving experience available short of porsche territory. ( in our opinion of course ). the Z can make loads of power....the S is a light weight handling monster. Pick what's important to you.

try to be a little more understanding next time you compliment someone and slap them in the face at the same time.....they might not be super-excited about it.

Ill kinda echo the poster above, Zs and S2s go for about the same price, Zs are cheaper new, so you will see 2002 and 2003 Z cars for about the same as a 2000, or 2001 S2.

If you like the Z car better, get another Z.

The s2000 isnt like the Z at all in my opinion, the only thing the have in common is country of origin
