Advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everybody, first time poster here.
I currently drive a 2004 Acura TL, mods include TEIN S-TECH lowering springs, Fujita F5 intake, and P2R throttlebody spacer.

Even with the modifications, this 3800lb sedan has gotten a little boring. I'm looking for a little more excitement in my everyday car to class and work. I think the S2000 has exactly what I'm looking for in a car. As you know, RWD, 6spd, only 2900lb (?), and the modifications seem a little cheaper.
Reasons why I would love to switch as of now;
Rattles, underpowered, handling is a little sluggish, modifications are extremely expensive, and my mileage is getting up there, 67,038 as of now.
Reasons why I adore my TL;
Navigation, looks, features, resale value, very smooth at speeds over 100, safety.
I have some questions regarding the S2000. What kind of well known problems are associated with the S2000 (anything mechanical, recalls, etc). I have been finding 2001 - 2003 Honda S2000s with less than 30k miles on them for $19k - $21k.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Different animals. Your Acura has more room, provides a more comfortable ride, is quieter, has more interior creature comforts and is cheaper to insure. The S has razor sharp handling, great performance, vast aftermarket and you can drop the top in a snap. In a perfect world, I'd have both. If that's not an option, figure out what is really important to you in a car. There are many options out there that will give you better performance but still have sedan flexibity (WRX, Evo, etc). The S is a great car, don't get me wrong, but its all about comprimises.
I see what you're saying.
I would like to stay in Honda realm of reliability
. My price range is around $21,000; I can't really find any STI / Evolutions with under ~50k miles with thousands of dollars invested into them. I don't want to buy a car that has been abused and tracked ha.
