Default another noob:)

Hey all, I just wanted to introduce myself to you. I have prowled the forums for a month or two and I decided it finally time to join. I'm 19 and am currently considering getting a s2k during the summer. I was wondering what are some things to look for when purchasing this kind of car? I was also wondering how it drives in varying road conditions and on what surfaces. Is it hard to drive in the rain? I do know it is famous for oversteer (at least the AP1). Is it possible to at all to drive it in the snow? I would think the lack of low end torque would make it easier. Any way, it's good to be here and I look forward to learning even more about tis great car and it's owners.

the s2k definitely is not an all season car. the ap2, which i have, is the bit milder version, with less tendancy to oversteer. i've driven it in the rain many times fine, just don't go crazy. as for the snow.. i've never done it, but i've seen it once the the highway. let's just say in order to go straight, the car was at a 45 degree angle.

i didn't buy used, so maybe someone else can chime in.

I just bought an AP1 and down here in new mexico it doesnt get too bad but a week or 2 after i had it it snowed big time. I couldnt get out of my apartment complex. I didnt try too hard but i knew it woulda been a long trip across town.

Keep in mind i have summer/performance tires on and going up any incline with a RWD is going to be tough which was my situation. To sum it up, no the S2k is not an all season car. It was snowing really lightly one night and it was fine. Just dont get on it too much in the rain and you will be ok.
Tires make all the difference. I grew up driving RWD in snow back in ND and if you want traction you cant expect to run the tires the S2k came with!
