Default Basic info wanted!

I've had mustang GT's for several years, but now I'm thinking of getting a S2000 after a recent test drive. I want a convertible with a kit such as vielside. Other than that I don't know what I need. I will be using it as a daily driver and I have an hour drive each way. I expect it would get good gas mileage since it is a 2.0L. What does it get stock? Also what years were changes made and which changes ar good and bad? Anything else I should know when buying a used S2000?

I daily drive it 4 days a week, 60 miles one way, which is roughly an hour. I get anywhere from 30-33 mpg w/ cruise control on 70 and no playing around. In town around 25-28 no playing around. If you redline it a lot, subtract 5-10 mpg from each figure.

Stanz' numbers are a little higher than average, I'd say. I never see anywhere close to 30 on my car. My average is closer to 22-23.

Welcome to the board, and read through this forum's FAQ thread as well as the S2000 forum's FAQ.

There's a guy on the site right now trying to sell his car with a full veilside kit and not having any luck. you guys should get together.

guy selling Veilside S2k

I get 27mpg.

If I had the cash and all else being equal (cost, miles, condition, etc), I'd buy an '03.
