I have a MY06, but I have driven a MY00, MY03, and MY05, and I enjoyed them all. The only reason I went with a 2006 is that I wanted a *new* car, and I got a great deal on it.
Personally, I think all the year models are great, and like everyone else has said, it all depends on what you want.
I totally agree with Red MX5 in that you should not rush into anything

" and don't forget that insurance on this car is going to be expensive"
----------
red mx-5 ,
sorry I don't agree with that I just got an 03 but when I was looking for cars I didn't think I could afford an S. buy chance one popped up in a search.
I though the insurance would be expensive but it was about 30% less than a miata would have cost me.
