Default Bought my dream car and it happens to be a S2000

Hello S2k community! A very late post but better late than never. After a couple months of looking endlessly nationwide I found my S! My cousin and I flew to Albuquerque NM and drove it back home to Orange county, CA in September 2017. Its a fully stock 2007 NFR with 27k miles. Bought it from an 80 year old lady that had hip problems and couldn't push in the clutch anymore. It was a 60th anniversary present from her late husband with roughly 12k miles at the time it was gifted to her. took her more than a decade to drive 15k miles. Overall it is in very good shape. hits vtec no problem! Unfortunately, being located in the desert, there were multiple rock chips and light scratches throughout the body panels from dust/dust storms. Took half a day to drive it home because we took our time and made it a trip out of it. Once I was settled in, I changed every fluid (clutch, brake, diff, coolant, engine, transmission) to have a fresh restart. Checked the Valves to make sure it was in spec. I made my cousin buff and polish out as many light scratches and paint touched almost every rock chip. I would still say the paint is 6/10 but I am very particular. cant be too picky since its original 11 year old paint

Within 10 months of ownership, I have modded my car for autocross/track and what I find sexy. Its definitely not a show car or garage queen. As of now, I have Ohlins DFV with swift springs (12k front + 10k rear), Titan 7 wheels EVS Spec wrapped in RS4, J's Camber joint v2, Mugen AP1 exhaust, Bride stradia seat, Karcepts front sway bar, and picking up my authentic Amuse front bumper this weekend. next mod is either a voltex wing or mugen hardtop whichever i find a deal on first!

I cant put in words how much I love my s2000. I remember seeing Road & track magazine featuring the s2000 back in 1999 and been in love ever since. after almost 20 YEARS since its inception, its a Dream come true to finally have one in my garage and to be apart of this community. extra special since its my first sports car!
enough rambling, here are a few pics of me picking up the car and working on it.

Prepped with painters tape for the drive home

making my cousin do manual labor

cousins on the left; mine on the right

dont mind the hair just installing some jdm bling and i really dont want drone

added some gold to the car

need more camber please

the engine quality is breathtaking; valves in spec

Titan 7 wheels because volks are overrated lol (even tho i want volks but too baller) fyi this was before i had a corner balance and lowered the car. thats why it looks like a 4x4

to keep my fatass in place when i try to hit the apex

i like how they positioned the bar so you can see thru the wheel

because my newphew is cute and i support Evasive motorsports (knob)

this was bascially how it looked the whole way home

makito from apple seven is painting it. cant wait to put it on omg

Really nice write-up with great photos. It's kind of fun to document that kind of stuff with pictures.
