Hello! I'm new to this site and just purchased a 2003 s2000 with 187k miles today! I must say my initial impression is that this car is amazing. I haven't stopped grinning ear to ear all day. About myself: I'm 25 and from the finger lakes region of central N.Y. which makes for some awesome cruising roads. I'm an engineer by day and plan on using my S for cruising and occasional track days. I have a question off the bat. I have been poking around on this site for a while tonight and wondering if anyone has some suggestions about potential maintenance I should be doing to this car with this many miles. The car is in pretty great shape for the amount use seen and the carfax shows extensive dealer maintenance records but what would be some things look out for or tackle as preventative early on? I'm a moderately competent backyard mechanic and am not afraid to try things that will save me some money versus taking to a pro. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Definitely take a look at the link in post #2, and retorque that axle nut if hasn't yet been. Had my bearing replaced today at 155k due to that problem
