Bought my S2K today
I just took delivery on my new (122 miles) 2005 Silverstone S2K this afternoon. I've wanted one ever since 2000. I ended up paying 500 under invoice as the dealership wanted to move this car to make room for the 2006 models. I wasn't planning on buying a new AP2 but the deal was sweet enough not to pass it up. The heart breaker was having to drive it home (about 3 miles) through the salty, slushy, dirty crap covering the roads up here in Minnesota. She's parked for the remainder of the winter. Can't wait for a warm spring day!
I had driven two AP1s (2000, 2002) and my impressions were pretty much the same compared to the AP2. Rumor has it that the AP2s put down a tad more rwhp but I couldn't tell as I still need to break in the motor. I'm new to the site but I can already see there is a lot of helpfull information and friendly people.
I used to drive a 2000 GSR that was fairly N/A modified (cams, valve train, camgears, skunk2 IM, p&p head, obd1 ecu, vafc, I/H/E bla bla bla) yes I miss her . I don't plan on going nutts with the S2K anytime soon but I imagine I'll slap on I/H/E and call it good for this year.
Pics... yes I know it's nothing special... yet

Grats on the new car. I ended up buying an 05' a couple weeks ago for the same reason. Well that and it was the only way I could get white/tan now. But price was probably my main deciding factor over the 06'.
Great looking car and Congrats.
I got mine 2 months ago and I am sure am lucky to live in sunny California. I got right in that baby and the fun began.
You will have to control yourself waiting for the winter to pass.
If I was you I would set up a space heater, a TV and an easy chair and spend the winter with the new baby.
I hope we have an early sping for your sake.
Enjoy!!!
