Boxster vs. S2000
i like how s2000 looks better than boxster. but boxsters got more stuff.
it's the ladder system. boxster s (more stuff) > s2000 (less stuff) > Lotus (nothing).
but for the money, and if you track, s2000 is a great car. if you're big, fat, or whatever, you need to get something bigger than s2000 or lotus, like boxster.
as far as the reliability goes, ask the porsche mechanics and honda mechanics which car they would rather buy.

LOL @ an ugly Cayenne SUV getting more street credibility than an s2000.
I think you're in the wrong forum.
Curb appeal is nothing but opinion, as is what effect you think a Boxster has on people. LOL. You keep saying Porsche instead of "Boxster".
The argument isn't that a Porsche Boxster has better braking performance than an S2000; the argument is that a 2002 Porsche Boxster costs way more to maintain than my 2002 Honda S2000, yet is lacking in nearly all aspects.
I've driven a base Porsche Boxster on numerous occasions and I have yet to be impressed by anything more than handling and braking.

As far as I have seen there are many, many Porsches other than the 911(Carrera). The only one I would dispute as being a real Porsche is the original 924 which used a lame Audi 4-cylinder engine. Since that time Porsche has used its own motors, with the exception of the 3.2l/3.6l V-6 in the Cayenne.
I picked the S2K this time around only because I couldn't get a deal like I did on my '02 Boxster. I like my S2K, but if I had a choice, an 06 Boxster would be in my garage right now.

4 wheel brembos doesn't matter. Look up stopping distances, they are identical. That just means it costs more to replace pads and rotors (if they crack, not sure if they are just slotted or cross drilled).
