Default Buying AP2 for $5k tomorrow

Hey guys, what's up. This has all seems too good to be true, but I'm hoping by tomorrow this dream will come true. I've always wanted an S2000, badly. Just wanted to share my story, introduce myself, and get some advise.

I sold my Suzuki GSX-R 600 last week for $5k. My "daily" is a '08 350whp Evo X tuned with stock turbo and 24k miles on it. With the money from the bike, I was planning on getting a beater of some sort (up for anything fun and reliable). The Evo has been reliable so far, but would like to keep the mileage low on it.

So, you know, $5k doesn't normally get you much good out there. I've been hunting AutoTrader for weeks looking for Miata's. Then, a very rich ex-girlfriend of mine (I am broke), took possesion of her roomates '04 S2K with 126k miles. Because she was practically given this car, she is willing to sell it to me for $5k cash tomorrow. I haven't seen it in person, but the pictures look awesome. Bone stock and girl driven. Also girl maintained which might not be good. To prepare it for sale, she just had the clutch and flywheel replaced, along with new tires. She also said the valves were adjusted.

So I've read over the FAQ here on buying used AP2's, and I am ready to buy tomorrow. I'm very excited, but nervous at the same time. I plan on using the S2000 as a real daily driver. I work 4 miles from home, but have to go on service calls. I'm hoping this car will fill those needs with not much hassle. Even better, I have a lot of country roads around here

Looking forward to getting to know this platform, I have a feeling this will be my favorite car ever!

Don't freak man, this is a different situation, it's worth much more. I've thought about quickly flipping it for some extra money, but I've always wanted this car. She just bought a brand new Audi TTS and doesn't even work. She has zero financial troubles, and this is just pocket change to her. Her ex-roomate signed over the title to her just so she didn't have to pick it up. They are that rich, and this ex wants to see me again. I'm kissing her ass right now to get it at that price. If I decide to flip it, and it's in the shape I hope it is, I'd sell it for much much more. I just have a feeling the Evo will be sitting more, and I'll be picking up the S keys everyday. At least I hope so!

Don't get rid of it for this story, this is basically a giveaway situation.

It's highly unlikely I'd sell it, and I mean extremely unlikely. You're right, this is truly, a once in a lifetime deal. Not to mention, it's one of my all-time dream cars. If anything, I can see myself falling in love with the S, and selling the Evo. I also had an Evo VIII for a couple of years. I've only owned one RWD car (a '93 BMW 318is), so I'm crazy excited. I think this S will be the perfect car to get me into RWD. Thanks for all the quick replies, and making this a no brainer. I'm gonna hand her the cash right after I test drive it if things go good!

I think I'll be happy with the car stock, I love the thought of N/A, and 8200rpm! Seriously, I'll probably faint tomorrow if I see both my Evo X and S sitting in my driveway. This is something I never dreamed could happen. Thanks for the positive input!
