Update!! She finally just called me, and woke up at 4:30pm. Haha, just as I expected, she partied till 5am. She says everything is good to go, and I should be able to go look at the S around 7ish. She says it's mine, and I deserve it, and that was the best thing I've ever heard. I'm not gonna have much daylight to work with, and the clouds are getting dark over here. So it will only be a quick look and quick test drive. She also wants me to test drive her new TTS, so that will be fun too. I can't wait until this car is in my driveway, hopefully tonight! That...or it's a really, really bad April fools joke! I won't go into it all, but I got delayed big time today and tonight. Was supposed to meet a 7pm,...that turn to 9, then 10, then tomorrow. "Supposed" to meet up around noon tomorrow, if she can wake up before 5pm this time! Anyways, it will be well worth all the hassle, waiting, and worrying I did today to get this car at this price. Thanks for all the positive feedback, I really appreciate it and can't wait to join you guys.

I have a feeling this S2000 will make me want to sell the Evo. I love the Evo, but would like no car payment, and still be able to enjoy a true sports car. I couldn't be more excited, and will update tomorrow. Hoping for the best!!

Well, a motor issue just might be the case here. Just got a call from the seller, and she said it's misfiring this morning. She said the mechanic that replaced the clutch recently, also replaced 2 spark plugs. So he is on his way with a scan tool to check it out. I just told her to call me after he looks at it, hoping he can figure it out.

So, I seriously doubt I'll get the car today. If they call back, and say everything is "ok" now, I'll go check it out and test drive it. Just a quick search on this site on misfire troubleshooting with this car gave me some really good information. Last thing I want is someone just to clear the code, me buy it, and run into a major problem. At this point, I'd like a compression and leakdown test done.

Part of me just wants to take the risk, and hope it's nothing major. But I can't just spend $5k on a car that needs a bunch of troubleshooting. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Regardless, if I don't get the car, I will make sure a gearhead member of this forum has the opportunity to get it. I know $5k is a good deal, even with possible major problems, but I can't do that. I'll post back once the mechanic gives me some info. Wish this was an April fools joke, but it's not! I slept so good dreaming about driving with the top down today and hearing that motor, damn.
