Default Buying an S2k on East Coast

I am going to be buying my 3rd s2k very soon. I am hearing on this forum people getting $28k deals on new s2ks. Is this actually feasible. I am flexible about when and where I get the car but probably no more then 1500 miles from New York.

I dont see the point in buying 2nd hand as 2 year old cars go for $24-25k

You should be able to get a 2004-2005 for around $20K these days if you look hard enough. I doubt you could get a brand new one for $28K because I'm from a similar area as you, and many Honda dealerships here don't even have new S2K's. You could try though.

Nothing wrong with a used S2K...mine had 15,000 miles on it when I bought it and I have had zero problems.

Yes but I really want the auto airbag turnoff. My last S2k had the manual turnoff and it is very dangerous imho because it is so easy to forget.

If that's what is most important to you then I would just look around. Don't forget that this car is a roadster and it wasn't made for daily use. I use it every day, but it has a lack of features due to that. Try buying a new one in PA. My dad lives there and he tells me that the prices are much better. Unfortunately though, like I said these are not Civics and dealerships don't get a lot of them.

That's what I also thought, why buy a used one for 24 - 25k when you can spend a little more and get a brand new one..

I think the $20K that you could find are generally don't have great conditions ...

Some of them aren't in great condition, but remember that $20K is below what the car is worth. I have a 2002 with low miles and a hardtop that is technically worth $20K as of now.
