Comradery amongst other roadster drivers
It seems that many of us roadster drivers, especially in areas of the Pacific NW, like where I live, have a certain comradery/passion for driving our cars. We have a very short season of 'top-down' weather around here, and love to enjoy every minute of sunlight we can; often not caring about getting to point B, just hop in and go, wherever.
There have been so many times I'll be out, just enjoying a drive, and see someone coming from the opposite direction in their little roadster. There's no opportunity to talk to them, but somehow you just know they're thinking the same thing you are. So we exchange a little wave, and continue on our blissful journey.
So, what do these like-minded people drive? In my experience, they drive MGs, Triumphs, Austin Healeys; some Miata drivers as well. Other single instances were a run in with a Lotus Elise (I think we were both smiling like giddy little school children). I've even rolled up on an older couple in a gorgeous black Sunbeam Tiger once.
Just wanted to share the experiences with you, and curious to know what other people you've come across on the road, who you might wave to, or perhaps have had someone wave to you, that caught you off guard even?

I've shared waves with a few Miatas, a few bimmer Z-cars, and all the other fellow S2ks in my area..but it hasnt gone beyond that.
Not that I'd consider a mustang or a crystler sebring 'vert a roadster in even the loosest sense, but the thought has crossed my mind to at least give them a nod.

most people in any roadster here think their boxter or Z3/4 is the greatest thing ever created and the only thing I get from them is a snobby look and maybe a smug comment that my s2k is a slow civic pos convertible. I just look back and smile when they then try to challenge me
Only 30 or so percent of S2K drivers even notice me at all, maybe Berlina is not that noticeable. <shrug>
Out of hundreds of Mustang convertibles, maybe 2 saw me. I don't bother with them.
Strangely, the most enthusiastic wave I ever got, was from a gal in a Sebring, go figure. She THREW her arm staight up, like "HI!!!!".
