My story is similar to yours. We had two children when the S2000 was introduced, so I had to wait until a 2-seater made sense. I compromised with a Prelude Type-SH, which I enjoyed, but just two weeks ago, I happened upon a lightly-driven MY00 which is now my daily driver. One owner, 15980 miles, near-mint condition, obviously babied. I found the previous owner's insurance card in the car, and he's local, but I didn't contact him.

I went through a 02 Accord 2dr V6, 04 Acura TL, 07 G35S 4dr and 12 Civic Si coupe, but they weren't the same. All dimes a dozen. Traded the 12 Civic without hesitation when I found mine. Clear bra'ed the front immediately and it's now my daily driver. Next step Oem AP2 front lip and after that hardtop. Love getting a thumbs up every once in a long while when I pass another S2K owner.

 

I am almost in the same shoe as yours. I liked the S2K 10-12 years ago but could not afford one because of the house purchase, kids and other commitments that came as the first priority. Fast forward to today, I still like the S2K and still have lots of commitments, but the cash flow is good enough to allow me owning one. I just pulled the trigger yesterday to fulfil my dream and will pick up the car this coming Thursday.

I have a Silverstone S just like yours. I have been thinking about getting and OEM front lip, partially to cover up scuffs on the lower front bumper and partly because i like the look. Do you mind telling me where you bought it? Was it prepainted. I googled them and didn't find much.

 

Best price is Galpin Honda on EBay. $365 painted, hardware, weather striping and double sided tape preinstalled. Handa accessories.com may be a $1 cheaper but shipping is $40 vs $10 for Galpin.
