Default First s2000! Spa Yellow AP1

Hey guys, just bought my first s2000, a 2001 Spa Yellow AP1 with 78k miles. Coming from a BMW, I wasn't sold on the s2k until I test drove it and HOLY.. it was like nothing I've ever driven. It sounds stupid but its impossible to not smile when you're driving this car with the top down. The BMW was a solid daily driver but was numbing with extremely light steering, clutch delay valve, sloppy shifts, no LSD etc. I plan on building this car OEM+ by just cleaning up the stock look with some coils/springs and adding some wheel spacers to get the stock wheels to sit flush. After that I'll probably add a BBK in the front (the Civic Type R kit on Ballade Sports looks tempting) and possibly a thicker front sway bar as apparently that's somewhat necessary in the AP1's. Also, I raced my friend in my BMW on the way home which has a turbo 4 cylinder (N20) and the s2k was faster from a 40 roll. The same size motor with no turbo and its faster lmao it honestly shocked me. Here are some pics of the new s2000 and my bmw

Very nice. Looks like the garage is full unless you have another?

That’s is actually my dad’s house, bought it in the area so I went over to his place to show it to him. He thinks it’s pretty cool but wasn’t able to really drive it because it’s not insured or registered yet. He has an AMG GTR though so it’s probably pretty different than what he’s used to lol

If you want to keep it in its true ap1 form, and yet give it a unique look, with a high quality and very lightweight wheel, consider a set of the option BBS JDM 16" wheels. I just happen to have a spare set that I could be persuaded to let go for the right car.

those wheels seem awesome, but just a little too small for my taste. Plus I’m not sure if I could fit a bbk behind them. I really ador the AP2 wheels on it right now even though they’re heavier. Thanks for the offer though, I’m probably passing up a good deal
