First Time Poster, 2nd Time Owner
Hey all,
Just recently bought an '06 NFR S2k from a local guy. Only had about 91k miles with some minor mods: aftermarket tail lights, k&n intake, head unit, powdercoated ap2v2 wheels. I think I got a pretty great deal on the car considering the top looks fairly new and the car has such few mods.
My goal is to turn it from stock to semi-streetable track car. There's a couple of things I want to fix: replace tail lights with OEM and add an OEM front lip. The first round of real mods will be dedicated to just getting the car on the track: harddog double diagonal rollbar, hardtop, brake ducting, new brake pads+rotors, J's racing s2 camber joints, alignment, and flush brake/diff/trans fluid. The tires are actually okay, hopefully they'll last a good while and I can get new wheels and tires by the time they're done.
I've got a few decisions to make here in regards to the hardtop. I've been thinking authentic Mugen FRP or Forbidden USA 2x2 cf Mugen hardtop rep or authentic OEM hardtop. Obviously I'm going to go with authentic Mugen or OEM if I can find a good deal on one, but my last resort is replica. I'll need to make a decision soon, as there are track days coming up.
